Carpanta

Pamplona, Spain
At the age of 14 I started rock climbing. Over time I became interested in different aspects of climbing, and eventually focused on ice. I went hard into it with enthusiasm and motivation, earning the nickname “Carpanta” (translates to “A ravenous hunger”) in reference to my craving for climbing.

Best moments

  • When I started climbing with friends; living the good times.
  • Last autumn, climbing Kepa and the summit of the Matterhorn, having ascended by Schmid via its North Face.
  • This winter, when I made my first route in the sector Breitwangflue (Kandersteg)

Do's

  • Climbing should always be linked to motivation, not to necessity.
  • Effort, training and dedication is important to succeed with important goals in life; but the motivation is always more important.
  • Having fun and laughing with friends is the most important thing when climbing.
In the winter of 2014-15 I made some Alpinada Alps (North of the Jorasses, the Aguile Verte, the Dru and the Matterhorn), ice scaling Switzerland (Urnerboden, Kiental and Kandersteg) and I've also fun Circus Gavarnie (Alois and Devil's Breath in the third wall and we have opened a variant of 4 long on the first wall). Besides having climbed numerous rock routes in the temples of the Pyrenees (Ordesa, Montañesa, Montrebei, Collegats, Midi, etc.), of which I keep Ordesa; the most brutal place I've ever known and I can every time I go!
